When a large regional bank changed telecom providers, they were tasked with upgrading the router at each of their over 400 facilities. In the past, the bank had tackled similar projects by using their internal IT staff to do the work. However, this presented a few problems for this project.
First, it would take months for their IT personnel to personally go to each site for the conversion, which would put the project way over its required completion date. In addition, many of the sites were going to need a demark extension, and the banks people were not knowledgeable about cabling installations. And, lastly, the bank found that using their own resources would cost them a significant amount of money due to travel and expenses.
After learning that PRS had technicians that knew how to install and troubleshoot routers AND install cabling where necessary, the bank decided that PRS was the perfect complement to their project staff. In addition to providing capable technicians, PRS could also promise that many of those resources would be local to the bank’s branches. This saved the bank a considerable amount in travel and related expenses. And, in less than 3 months, PRS had converted over 400 banking facilities.
